Editorial Policy, Copyright and Publishing Rights

Authors are totally responsible for the originality and authenticity of the manuscripts submitted for publication, as well as for the right of using the information included in the paper.

A preliminary stage of the publishing process consists of  checking the manuscript using a specialized software to detect plagiarism.

Plagiarism in all its forms and any other type of academic fraud (copying word-by-word of another author’s work without quotation marks and without mentioning the source, paraphrasing the ideas of other author without mentioning these ideas’ paternity, using concepts launched by other author without mentioning their citations; false or forged data etc.) will not be tolerated.

In case the manuscript is proved to have been an act of plagiarism, the Author(s) will be solely held liable for this and they will be held responsible according to the current Romanian legislation in force. Furthermore, the manuscript under focus will be erased from the Publisher’s site and the Author(s) will no longer have the right to submit and to publish in future in the Economic Insights – Trends and Challenges. Moreover, the Author(s)’ act will be discussed in the meetings organized at the level of the Department they belong to, in the Executive Board, the Senate and the Ethics Committee of Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești. In case the Authors belong to another institution, the Publisher will provide all details to this institution.

Upon accepting the manuscript, the authors will sign a Copyright Agreement which will ensure that their article is an original work and has not been published or offered for evaluation to another publication.

The Editor has the right to reject materials that do not meet the technical requirements laid down in the Authors’ Guidelines or if the paper was categorized by independent reviewers as lacking scientific contents. Also, editors may require authors to revise the text so that journal specific requirements are met.

Articles submitted for publication may not be sent to other publications until they are rejected or before 6 (six) months from the time of submission if no answer was received from the Editor.

Withdrawal of a paper submitted for assessment / publication will be possible only after submitting a written application before the publishing of the material in another journal.

A paper may have no more that 4 (four) co-authors.The author (authors) has (have) the full responsibility of the articles’ content. The submitting (Corresponding) author is responsible for ensuring that the article’s publication has been approved by all the other coauthors. It is also the authors’ responsibility to ensure that the articles emanating from a particular institution are submitted with the approval of the necessary institution. Only an acknowledgment from the editorial office officially establishes the date of receipt. Further correspondence and proofs will be sent to the corresponding author(s) before publication unless otherwise indicated.

By singning the Author’s Warranty and Transfer of Copyright Agreement, Author(s) agree to assign all patrimonial rights related to copyright resulted from the creation of the manuscript to Economic Insights – Trends and Challenges (Publisher). After the manuscript is ready for publication, it will be published at Publisher’s own expense, under the aegis of the Publisher.
